The School Community Youth Coalition prospectus is in development and will soon also be up on this page.

Methodology

The School Community Youth Coalition uses the following methodology in its operations:

  • Investing and mobilizing our communities
  • Collecting and analyzing local indicator data
  • Cultivating community leaders
  • Prioritizing the community’s key issues
  • Educating community members and key leaders about our community’s risk factors, and involving them in the solutions
  • Fostering partnerships, building collaboration, and sustaining the effort
  • Advocating for the use of prevention science and measurable outcomes

SCYC partners with Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America. CADCA makes available a wide variety of primers that provide guidelines to groups like SCYC, who use the primers as frameworks in guiding our work. The primers can be downloaded as PDFs.

CADCA also has a regular blog that provides news and updates related to their mission.
